Good day to all!

I am an IT professional living in Japan.

I started this blog because I would like to know how other foreigners feel about living in Japan and how they compare Japan as an option other than the top among the list, such as USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the rest of Europe, for migration, in terms of different aspects.

I hope to learn from the experiences and views you could share.

Yoroshiku onegai shimasu.

Peace to the world!

Hello world!

I am a Filipino and working as an IT Engineer here in Tokyo, Japan. It is my first time to work abroad so I am sort of excited and nervous with the fact that I can't speak Nihongo, but I am very eager to learn the language.
I arrived here last May 2007 with another IT Engineer. Currently, I am attending Japanese Lesson at a City Office and I find my sensei really nice and spoon-feeding.

Food here are tasty and healthy, but they all seem to be new for me. I want to try all the Japanese dishes, fish and shellfish, fruits and vegetables and juices.
I also wanted to visit historical places here in Japan for I am fond of reading almanacs and reference textbooks.

Work and time management here is so valuable that everybody seems to be working over-time.

I think Japan is an interesting and safe place to live in. I just hope I could meet new friends especially Japanese and other foreigners from other countries, as well as learn their customs and traditions.

For sure, I look forward to be working here with fun, challenges and learning experiences that will remain in me for the rest of my life!

Hello World again!

Things are getting better as I approach my first month here in Japan. I am overwhelmed with the opportunities and new experiences coming to me.

I am excited to experience summer here and be able to feel new breeze of heat. In the Philippines, summer has ended last May so it's rainy season now.

So, till next time!

We still don't know much about Japan. Good thing Kuya Ico is here.

Ico-さん,せんじつはどうもう。
本当にありがとうございます。

I think I should prepare writing 日本語もの in Tabula Rasa.

Way back in the Philippines I had a chance to watch the musical “Aladdin. When Jasmin sang the song “ A whole new world”, I somewhat cannot relate what it feels like to be in a whole new world. But somehow the song stayed in my mind for a reason I don’t’ know why.

When I arrived here at Japan last June 15, I was filled with excitement to explore and try different new things, meet new friends and go to different places. Then, I wake up the next day filled with a lot of activities. It was Saturday then when I first met Kuya Ico. Then on Sunday, we went to Ueno Park. But first we had our lunch at a Yakiniku restaurant. The food is great and the means of transportation is convenient here at Japan. Then, comes the day of our first day at the office. We were very much welcomed by all the employees. Everybody is hardworking and disciplined. But I find it hard to communicate with them because I am not that fluent in Nihongo. That's why I am doing my best to learn the language by studying at home and attending our classes

As time goes on, Japan became a whole new world for me. It may not be as happy as I expect it because there are times that I get homesick. However, I hope to share it with my family and my special someone someday.
